Optical Probes: Discovery to Application
2027 FASEB Science Research Conference
July 12-15, 2027
The Curtis Hotel, Denver, CO #OPTSRC
Conference Summary
Optical probes, renowned for their invaluable contributions to real-time, high-sensitivity information acquisition with chemical selectivity, have been instrumental in inspiring discoveries across various biological fields. Recent advancements, including super-resolution microscopy and multimodal imaging, highlight the significant capabilities of optical probes. However, despite the transformative impact of optical probes, a gap remains within the scientific community, particularly in providing a platform for diverse probe developers and users to converge and exchange ideas. This conference uniquely brings together scientists focusing on optical probes from different sub-disciplines, fostering collaboration and innovation to drive progress and foster the next generation of researchers. By facilitating multinational, interdisciplinary collaborations between probe developers and probe users, this platform aligns research efforts with the most pressing needs and keeps pace with the latest advancements.
Attendees will learn about:
- Next-generation genetically encoded indicators
- AI for probe development
- Probes for RNA-DNA-Lipids
Program topics include:
- Activatable & targeted small molecule probes
- Optical interrogation of cell function
- Translation to the clinic
Workshops:
Two Meet the Experts sessions will offer early-career scientists the opportunity to provide a brief project summary and follow up with career-related questions.
A moderated Career Development Panel Discussion will provide early-career investigators with practical advice from more experienced researchers on various topics, as well as small-group discussion and identifying personalized, actionable career development goals for attendees.
