The Public Comment Period Has Closed
Thank you to everyone who took action. The public comment period for the Office of Management and Budget's proposed revisions to the Uniform Guidance closed on July 13, 2026. Researchers, scholarly societies, institutions, and members of the scientific community came together to make their voices heard.
But our work isn't over. Stay tuned for Phase 2 of FASEB's response, which will help researchers engage directly with Congress to encourage oversight and action on the proposed rule.

We need YOU to submit comments that discuss the personal impact this would have on you as a scholarly society or a scientist. Comments on the proposed rule are open until July 13, 2026, at 11:59 PM EST, and your voice matters.
OMB is required to review and respond to every substantive public comment submitted. That means comments from scholarly societies, researchers, and other members of the scientific community can make a real impact.
