A Practical Path to NGS: Clonality and Ultra-High Sensitivity MRD Assessment in Lymphoid Malignancies
Summary
October 28, 2026
Next-generation sequencing has advanced precision cancer care by providing molecular insights into disease biology, enabling sensitive post-treatment disease monitoring, and supporting longitudinal characterization of clonal evolution. Its successful implementation, however, requires rigorous assay validation, appropriate analytical sensitivity, objective marker selection, and standardized longitudinal testing strategies.
In this workshop hosted by the Association for Molecular Pathology, Svea Stratmann, PhD, will share practical experience implementing UHS-NGS for routine clonality assessment and considerations for expanding NGS into MRD assessment. Alice Scarpa will present post-transplant B-ALL case demonstrating how IGH-based MRD can be integrated with complementary immunogenetic methods.
