In March, FASEB launched a webinar series to raise awareness about the rapidly evolving biomedical research workforce. The series focuses on aligning doctoral and postdoctoral training with a broad range of professional opportunities both within and beyond academia, aiming to strengthen the United States scientific enterprise by maximizing talent and expanding career pathways.

The third webinar in the series, “Take Charge of Your Research Training: Supporting Career Development using IDPs,” is scheduled for June 12, 2-3 pm ET. It will feature Melanie Sinche, director of career and professional development within the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs at the University of Virginia. This webinar will explore the Individual Development Plan (IDP) framework and how doctoral students and postdocs in the sciences can use it to align their career goals with their transferable skills. Sinche will share practical strategies for leveraging the IDP to achieve long-term success across a variety of career paths and disciplines

Registration for the third webinar is available here.
