Celebrating National Postdoc Appreciation Week

The 16th Annual National Postdoc Appreciation Week (NPAW) will take place September 15–19, 2025. Since 2009, the National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) has sponsored NPAW to recognize the vital contributions postdoctoral scholars make to U.S. research and discovery. In 2010, the U.S. House of Representatives officially recognized the week, which is now marked by events held across the country and internationally.

This year’s theme, Communicating Your Science and Research, highlights the importance of sharing discoveries with a range of audiences. The NPA will kick off the week with a special keynote event, followed by the sixth annual virtual, multi-institutional celebration designed to connect postdocs worldwide. Institutions and organizations are also hosting local and regional events to honor postdocs in their communities.
