FASEB Offers Feedback on Proposed Alternative to Indirect Cost Rates

On August 15, FASEB submitted comments to the Joint Association Group on Indirect Costs on the proposed Financial Accountability in Research (FAIR) model for determining the administrative and support costs associated with conducting federally funded research. FASEB’s comments expressed support for the group’s efforts and identified areas for which additional clarification would be helpful in minimizing administrative burden for administrators and Principal Investigators.
