FASEB Highlights Continued Importance of hESCs in Biomedical Research
Thursday, April 16, 2026On April 14, FASEB submitted feedback to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on a Request for Information seeking input on Reducing Reliance on Human Embryonic Stem Cells (hESCs) in NIH-Supported Research. In its comments, FASEB urged NIH to resume review of new hESC lines for inclusion in the agency’s Human Embryonic Stem Cell Registry and highlighted several areas of research for which additional investments could support the development, validation, and application of hESC alternatives.
