Health and Safety
FASEB prioritizes the health and safety of all participants, vendors, and staff at its conferences from a public health and safety perspective. As part of our commitment to public health and science, we endorse vaccinations and urge all conference participants to be up to date with their immunizations, including boosters, as applicable, especially as participants travel globally to attend FASEB conferences. As part of our commitment, we host events that promote intellectual and physical safety.
Personal Safety
FASEB is committed to promoting a safe work environment at conferences, ensuring that all program activities are free from discrimination, bias, or harassment of any type. FASEB has a Code of Conduct, which provides guidance for expected behavior as well as reporting information. At each in-person meeting, there is a primary contact (generally FASEB staff) for attendees to report code of conduct violations or safety concerns. All complaints are considered seriously and confidentially.
Health and Safety
Since keeping people safe and healthy during a conference is a shared responsibility among attendees, vendors, and staff, FASEB will comply with all applicable requirements from federal, state, and local health authorities. FASEB will monitor health and safety issues and follow state, federal, and international guidelines if there are health concerns in the area and may recommend or enforce stricter measures if deemed necessary, based on evolving public health conditions. Any specific health and safety updates pertinent to the conference will be promptly communicated to registered participants.
If an attendee at the event is experiencing symptoms of illness, we recommend that you consider your personal health as well as the health of others around you if you decide to attend on a given day.
