The New Faculty Boot Camp (NFBC) is a 12-week blended learning course offered by the Society for Developmental Biology. Ideal for pre-tenure faculty within the first three years of starting their position and advanced postdoctoral fellows who have accepted a job offer.
Course participants will learn how to:
This course includes reading and writing assignments as well as expert advice from leaders in diverse fields including business, academia, and developmental biology. During live sessions, course participants will workshop their lab manuals and grant ideas, share goals and experiences, and practice difficult conversations. Active participation including asynchronous writing assignments and attendance a live Zoom sessions is required.
