FASEB is working to identify areas that scientific and professional societies can better support early-career scientists in their professional growth and seeks your input. This brief survey will help FASEB find helpful policies, procedures, programs, and resources and assess career development needs. Topics included in the survey are interactions with societies, professional development needs, networking, safe work environments, and career transition readiness. As a thank you for your time, survey participants will be entered to win one of twelve $20 gift cards.

The survey was determined to be IRB exempt and will be open through May 22. Responses collected will help FASEB’s Early-Career Representative Engagement Task Force craft recommendations on early-career focus areas for consideration by FASEB’s Board of Directors. Following the close of the survey, FASEB will collate a list of beneficial programs, policies, and other resources and distribute these best practices in the biological and biomedical sciences community. Actions implemented by the Board of Directors will occur in 2023 or beyond.
