FASEB was awarded a two-year grant through the National Science Foundation (NSF) Biology Directorate’s Leading Culture Change Through Professional Societies of Biology (BIO-LEAPS) program. The pilot – dubbed DRIVE – will provide mentorship, leadership training, and other resources to early-career researchers from historically excluded populations to assist them in utilizing professional society resources to develop their professional networks and further career advancement. Prior to recruiting these early-career change agents, the FASEB team will conduct a landscape assessment to determine strengths and gaps among Federation member societies in supporting individuals from historically excluded populations in professional development and leadership activities.

DRIVE will launch in spring 2024. Click here to learn more.
