FASEB is transforming the culture within biological and biomedical sciences through targeted recruitment initiatives, innovative programming, and professional development opportunities for our scientific workforces from historically excluded communities. That’s why FASEB is excited to announce its inaugural programs, Career Advancement and Research Excellence Support (CARES) and Leadership Excellence and Appreciation of Differences (LEAD).

FASEB CARES provides financial support to alleviate financial burdens associated with caregiving, enabling FASEB society members to continue their scientific training, professional development, and career progression. Ten recipients will be awarded $5,000 based on their need.

FASEB LEAD is an innovative mentoring program that pairs senior-level professionals with junior-level mentors to gain different perspectives of individual, group, and cultural views within the workplace and scientific research communities. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange personal views and workplace perspectives in a safe-to-say environment.

FASEB FRIENDS is an ongoing outreach initiative that increases diversity among FASEB and its member societies by promoting career advancement of the biological and biomedical research workforce from historically excluded communities.

With each program, we are building a more diverse scientific workforce that is truly representative of our diverse nation. To learn more about these programs, register to attend one or both of our informational sessions below or visit our website.
