The second annual DataWorks! Prize, which offers up to $500,000 in cash prizes, is now open for submissions. This team-based challenge is open to biological and biomedical researchers who integrate data sharing or reuse into their research practices. Applications for the prize are currently open and will close on July 24.

The prize will recognize and reward exceptional data practices in biological and biomedical research labs during the active phase of research, which enable robust data sharing and reuse, and create a library of best practice methods that can be used by the broader research community.

DataWorks! Prize is a joint initiative of FASEB and NIH Office of Data Science Strategy that recognizes biological and biomedical research teams that integrate data sharing and reuse to advance human health.

Dataworks! Prize is open to anyone aged 18 or older. Individual participants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. International researchers can participate on a team with a U.S. team lead.
