Society for Leukocyte Biology Becomes FASEB Member

Tuesday, July 23, 2019
The Society for Leukocyte Biology (SLB) recently joined FASEB, becoming the Federation’s 29th member society.

“We are very proud that the Society for Leukocyte Biology has come into the FASEB fold,” said Hannah Carey, PhD, FASEB President. “The addition of this vibrant society broadens the Federation’s scope within the life sciences, and further strengthens our advocacy voice on Capitol Hill, within federal agencies, and to the general public” she said.

SLB is a diverse community of like-minded researchers and clinicians focused on the field of immunology and all its implications, applications, and practices. The society’s goal is to widen the audience for the field while furthering the study, research, education, and understanding of leukocyte biology.

“SLB is honored to become a FASEB member society and to embark upon a productive partnership with this respected coalition of scientists,“ said Lee-Ann Allen, PhD, SLB President. “At this juncture, we look forward to taking advantage of all that FASEB has to offer and are particularly excited about opportunities to promote biomedical research and to influence science policy at the highest levels of government.”
