Tuesday, December 10, 2019
FASEB has released The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology: A Century of Service and Advocacy, a comprehensive and authoritative history book exploring the growth of FASEB and its lasting impact on science and society for over a century. Originally established in 1912 as a loose-knit coalition of four biomedical societies, FASEB has evolved into a powerful voice for biological scientists.

The book’s co-authors are Howard H. Garrison – FASEB’s former director of public affairs – and FASEB past presidents Judith S. Bond and Ralph A. Bradshaw. The book explores FASEB’s growth through three major phases, and features profiles of prominent scientists who were leaders in the organization. All those interested in the history of science will enjoy this new narrative.
