FASEB Urges Department of Transportation to Investigate Airlines Refusal to Transport Research Animals

FASEB recently sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Transportation urging the agency to investigate a complaint filed by the National Association for Biomedical Research (NABR) against several major airlines for refusing to transport animals for medical research even though they transport them for other purposes. FASEB's letter explains the rationale for using animals in research and notes that there are no valid safety-related justifications for refusing to transport animals for research.
