FASEB Thanks NIH for Addressing Sexual Harassment and Urges Agency to Address Privacy Concerns

On March 4, FASEB issued a letter  to NIH leadership regarding their February 28 announcement of updates to the agency’s efforts to address sexual harassment.  In the letter, FASEB commended NIH leadership for acknowledging the need for the agency to be more proactive in addressing unacceptable behaviors, including gender and sexual harassment, among the grantee community. Although appreciative of the agency’s efforts to establish a more direct mechanism allowing individuals to report issues, FASEB raised concerns about the privacy of information shared via the newly established GranteeHarassment@od.nih.gov email address.
