FASEB Supports WMPD, Encourages Robust Data in Future

On March 9, FASEB sent comments to National Science Foundation's National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (NCSES) that emphasized the importance of transparent information from NCSES on the scientific workforce and progress of STEM education, including the Women, Minorities, and Persons with Disabilities (WMPD) report and data tables. FASEB recognized COVID-19 disruptions may have created barriers for robust data collection but urged NCSES to return to robust data tables in the next release of the WMPD.
