FASEB Submits Comments to NIH's Working Group on Enhancing Rigor, Transparency, and Translatability in Animal Research

On August, 5, FASEB submitted comments to the NIH Working Group on Enhancing Rigor, Transparency, and Translatability in Animal Research in response to the Request for Information (NOT-OD-20-130) of the same name. In its comments, FASEB encourages NIH to expand support for infrastructure grant funding to permit institutions to construct or renovate facilitiate to standards that enable optimal animal care.  To continue improving animal care standards, FASEB also highlights the importance of adopting evidence-based husbandry practices and enhancing reporting of provenance and genetic background of animals in grant applications and publications.
