FASEB Submits Comments to CSR on Fellowship Peer Review

On January 20, FASEB sent comments to National Institutes of Health Center for Scientific Review pertaining to improving the National Research Service Award review process. Specifically, FASEB highlighted the importance of mentor networks and recommended scored criteria pertaining to the sponsor‘s track record of mentoring trainees should emphasize evidence-based mentoring practices. Additionally, FASEB suggested scored academic record metrics should be evaluated, as undergraduate grade point average and GRE scores may not be predictors of graduate school success.
