FASEB Submits Comments in Response to NIH Data Enclave RFI

On May 9, FASEB submitted comments in response to a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) seeking input stakeholder input on the need for an NIH administrative data enclave. Such a resource would allow approved research organizations controlled access to structured, de-identified NIH administrative and scientific data for use in independent research analyses. Although generally supportive of the concept of a data enclave, FASEB opposed the repurposing of research funds to establish and maintain such a resource.
