FASEB Statement on International Moratorium on Clinical Application of Genome Editing

The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) issued a statement regarding the international moratorium on clinical uses of genome editing. FASEB joins the National Institutes of Health and other scientific leaders in supporting the moratorium and establishing an international framework for determining the ethical and experimental parameters under which gene-editing research in human germline cells might be allowed to resume.
