FASEB Responds to Federal Advisory Committee NPRM

On December 14, FASEB submitted comments in response to the General Services Administration's proposed Federal Advisory Committee Management rule. Proposed revisions to the regulations seek to enhance public accountability and strengthen diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. 

FASEB's comments concur with the suggested revisions and emphasize the importance of advisory committees representing the diversity seen in the broader community. To further strengthen equity and public engagement, FASEB encourages addressing the needs of stakeholders with limited resources. These individuals are often precluded from participating in federal advisory committee activities due to a lack of awareness of regulatory processes.
