FASEB Issues Statement on FY2020 House CJS Appropriations Bill

FASEB issued a statement commending the House Committee on Appropriations for including a $561.14 million increase in funding for the National Science Foundation in the fiscal year 2020 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies (CJS) Appropriations bill. Appreciation was expressed to CJS Subcommittee Chair José Serrano for his leadership to strongly support scientific research and education. The FASEB statement also urged Congress to quickly to reach an agreement to raise the discretionary spending caps to make more resources available for federal science programs.
