FASEB Applauds Swift Action on Supplemental Appropriations to Address Coronavirus Outbreak

FASEB issued a statement commending Congress and the President for passing legislation to address the immediate public health needs resulting from the COVID-19 outbreak as well as support additional research to understand the virus, develop rapid diagnostics, vaccines, and effective treatments and deploy them to the public. The statement also highlighted the importance of sustained federal investments for the National Institutes of Health and other agencies and urged the government to provide frequent, open, and transparent communication to ensure that the public is fully informed about the coronavirus and its impact on all aspects of society.
