Novel Programs to Foster a Culture of Belonging in the Biological Sciences

FASEB's Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion Program Manager, France-Elvie Banda, will present a poster at Cell Bio 2023 on Monday, December 4. Banda will discuss FASEB's novel program, LEAD, a reverse mentoring program for scientists and staff of scientific societies, and CARES, a professional development award for scientific caregivers. The poster session will detail the impact of these programs in forging a culture shift within the scientific community by providing researchers, especially those from historically excluded communities, with tools and resources to combat systemic barriers.
