Taylor Medwig-Kinney, PhD

Taylor Medwig-Kinney is a mother and a postdoctoral researcher in Bob Goldstein's lab at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her scientific interests lie at the intersection of cell and developmental biology. Currently, she is investigating how forces driving cell shape changes are coordinated using C. elegans as a model. In addition to her research, Medwig-Kinney is passionate about science outreach.

Use of Award: Childcare expenses during protected time for planning and executing experiments, data collection grant applications, and future publications
