Diseases-driven approaches, including but not limited to multi-omics and molecular epidemiology, have been applied to dissect the etiological and pathophysiological mechanism of many different complex diseases, including metabolic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancers and COVID-19 as well as many other diseases, and to provide insights for better diseases or mortality classification, stratification, prevention and management. These studies have sparked important insights in the prediction, prevention, and management of these diseases and beyond.
