Genetics Careers at ASHG 2016

ASHG will continue to provide a service for those seeking employment and those seeking qualified candidates. Onsite career services will be provided by ASHG.  The online Career Center is available at http://geneticscareers.org/.  Additional career services will be available onsite starting Wednesday, October 19 through Friday, October 21.

Currently the GeneticsCareers.org website is free to employers and job seekers; however, individuals must register with GeneticsCareers.org and agree to the terms and conditions of the board before searching or posting within the community. Please read these terms and conditions thoroughly; failure to abide by them may result in your removal from the GeneticsCareers.org community.

CV/Resume Critique/Career Counseling Sessions

Dr. Andrew Green will be available in the Genetics Careers booth (#826) during ASHG 2016 to provide one-on-one CV/resume critiques and career counseling sessions. ASHG 2016 trainees may sign-up in advance at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090f49afac2ea0f85-genetics.  Each one-on-one session is 15 minutes in duration, and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.   ASHG 2016 participants, please select the convenient and available time slot by entering the required information.  You will receive an email message to confirm the appointment with Dr. Green.

Employment Poster Boards at the Exhibit Hall 

Employers who do not wish to post opportunities online in should provide a copy of their job descriptions on an 8.5”X11” paper to the onsite Genetics Careers Center staff (located in the Exhibit Hall) to post on the onsite employment boards. Self-posting on employment boards is not allowed. You may also email your job description (PDF format, preferred) to careers@faseb.org.
