West Palm Beach is a small, historic city best known for its eclectic high-end shops, trendy nightclubs, and fine dining. Just three blocks up the street from the Marriott is the CityPlace shopping area with stores, restaurants, IMAX, a bowling alley, and comedy club. A local trolley service offers free transportation between the major attractions in the West Palm Beach area. For more information, please visit Discover The Palm Beaches Florida, or visit the local area section of the Marriott website.
Just across the bridge from West Palm Beach is the island of Palm Beach, which has legendary resorts, exquisite mansions, and is home to some of the world’s wealthiest individuals. Public access to the beach is located on this island. Worth Avenue is also found here with approximately 250 high-end shops, boutiques, restaurants, and art galleries.
West Palm Beach enjoys a warm sunny climate year round. The average temperature in the summer is 89 degrees Fahrenheit, (32 Centigrade) during the day with evening lows in the 70s. A passing shower or storm during the afternoon is possible. Casual clothing is suggested. We also suggest bringing a sweater or jacket for sessions, as the rooms tend to be on the cool side.
The Marriott West Palm Beach is a short distance from the West Palm Beach Airport. Guestrooms include 1 king or 2 double beds, an alarm clock, safe, iron & ironing board, coffee maker, hair dryer, and bathroom amenities.
The single or double occupancy registration fee covers 5 nights of lodging (Sunday through Thursday night, with checkout Friday morning). If you plan to arrive early or stay beyond the conference dates, please contact Alice Fay at the Marriott at firstname.lastname@example.org. You will be responsible for the cost of any additional room nights as well as any incidental charges (i.e. in-room movies, room service, parking, etc.). A credit card will be required upon check-in for incidental expenses.

Child and Family Care Resources
FASEB provides detailed information for each conference site on the Science Research Conference (SRC) website and also provides venue information directly to each attendee. Although FASEB does not directly provide child care services, attendees are welcome to have guests (including spouses, children, nannies and babysitters) accompany them to the conference to provide such care. FASEB offers an alternative off-site registration fee at all conferences, to accommodate those with special family care needs (the off-site fee includes the conference and all meals but enables attendees to book their own accommodations). Both the FASEB and venue websites include information on nearby off-site accommodations that may assist attendees with locating licensed child care providers and daycare services. The venue management may also provide any assistance to attendees regarding child/family care issues or concerns, if available. Please contact FASEB SRC staff with any special needs that they may have.
Please Note: Photographs or Video recording by attendees/speakers during any portion of a FASEB SRC conference is prohibited without prior written permission of the author/presenter, organizers and FASEB SRC staff.
