your link to the record of human ingenuity

The Scholarly Publishers' Collaborative Network, SPCNet, developed by FASEB (Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology) is a NEW opportunity for scholarly publishers and the library community, providing a consolidated one-stop-shop for libraries and library consortia to subscribe to the scholarly publishers’ content available through this program.

SPCNet coordinates the activities from price quote through access, providing a single point of contact between the scholarly publishers and libraries.

Another goal of SPCNet is to develop and maintain relationships between the scholarly publishers they represent and the library community. Through these relationships both parties will gain insight into the others point-of-view:

  • For librarians an increased awareness and understanding of the nature, pricing and policies of publishers.
  • For the scholarly publisher an increased awareness and understanding of the trends and needs of the libraries and the community of users they serve.
