Date:Thursday, March 22
Time:4:45 pm–6:45 pm
Room:Maryland Suite C
Moderators:Karen Hales, Davidson College;
Janna McLean, Truman State University;
Nancy Pokrywka, Vassar College; and
Elaine Reynolds, Lafayette College
  Summary:
This workshop is a forum both for the many Drosophilists who work in environments where resources and expectations differ from those in research universities, and for those interested in exploring this type of career. A panel discussion will focus on the rewards and tribulations of careers at undergraduate institutions. Several presentations will then center on creative uses of Drosophila in undergraduate lab exercises as well as on undergraduate research projects.
