Iris Stratton, CPA leads the Contract Financial Services
Department as the Assistant Director. Ms. Stratton is a graduate of George
Washington University and has a public accounting background and extensive
financial management experience in the not-for-profit/tax exempt
environment.
The department is professionally staffed by Certified Public Accountants and
supported by a strong accounting staff. The Contract Financial Services
Department provides daily financial support for accounting, cash management
and payroll for FASEB member and nonmember client societies. Each client
organization is assigned a lead professional to manage the accounting and
financial operations including coordination of the annual budgeting process,
preparation of investment reports, financial compliance for grants and
contracts and interim and year-end reporting. The department serves as a
liaison with external auditors for annual audit support and tax return
preparation. The structure of the department provides for the segregation of
staff accounting responsibilities to insure that appropriate internal
controls are maintained and to support the financial integrity of its client
organizations.
