Marilyn Farquhar, Ph.D.

- AND -

Elaine Fuchs, Ph.D.

 

Their individual and combined contributions lead last year’s FASEB Excellence in Science Award Committee to enthusiastic recommendations of Drs. Marilyn Farquhar and Elaine Fuchs as joint winners of the 2006 FASEB Excellence in Science Award.  The awardees will present Lectures at the Annual Meeting of the ASBMB during the 2006 Experimental Biology Conference in San Francisco, California.  Dr. Farquhar will present, “G proteins and RGS proteins:  Linking Trafficking and Signaling”, Tuesday, April 4, 2006, 2:15-3:15 PM.  Dr. Fuchs will present, “Stem Cells and Their Lineages in Skin”, Wednesday, April 5, 2006, 8:30-9:30 AM.  Among other commendations, Dr. Farquhar and Dr. Fuchs will each receive a $10,000 unrestricted research grant funded by award sponsor Eli Lilly and Company and a plaque in recognition of the award.
