The scope of ethical issues in biomedical research is far-reaching and pervasive.  It includes topics ranging from the treatment of animals and human subjects in research; through the integrity of the scientific process itself (including how data should be handled and conflicts of interests of researchers) to the implications of our findings for society.  Given the vast scope and extreme importance of these issues, it is paramount that scientists be as informed as possible about the various aspects of the topic.  To that end, we have compiled a list of websites that contain information about bioethical issues and hope it will prove helpful for general education purposes and in cases that you need information about a specific topic.   The list is by no means comprehensive (there is an enormous amount of information available) but should be viewed as a starting point for your search. Each of these websites contains a large number of links to other sites.

www.primr.org/ An organization called Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (or PRIM&R) which provides conferences, educational programs and publications on various topics related to research and ethics.

http://ori.hhs.gov/ The Office of Research Integrity of the department of Health and Human Services which promotes integrity in biomedical and behavioral research supported by the U.S. Public Health Service.
