Nomination Procedures
All nominations must be submitted through the Excellence in Science Nomination Submission Site. Documents must be uploaded individually in PDF form. Nominators and nominees must be a member of at least one FASEB member society but do not have to belong to the same society.
Submissions must include all of the follow documents:
Nomination Letter, setting forth in detail:
Complete Curriculum Vitae Documenting:
- All publications;
- Leadership roles and mentorship;
- Teaching;

Honors and awards.
Five Nominee Reprints
Three Letters of Support from the Nominee’s Peers
Three Letters of Recommendation from Trainees
Note: the numbers of documents to be submitted are exact. Additional documents will not be accepted and fewer documents than the numbers specified will be considered an incomplete nomination.
Award Presentation
The award recipient will be expected to present an Excellence in Science Award Lecture in 2013 at the annual meeting of a FASEB member society. The recipient may choose the topic of her lecture and the meeting at which she will present the lecture. A presentation of the award will take place in conjunction with the lecture. In addition to a $10,000 unrestricted research grant funded by the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) and the Lilly USA, LLC, the award covers the recipients travel to/from the meeting, hotel expenses, complimentary meeting registration, and a plaque in recognition of the award.
