FASEB Excellence in Science Award
The FASEB Excellence in Science Award is given in recognition of outstanding achievement by women in biological science. Recipients are women whose career achievements have contributed significantly to further our understanding of a particular discipline by excellence in research. The 2013 award activity is supported by an educational grant from Lilly USA, LLC.
2012 Award
Susan R. Wessler, PhD was the recipient of the FASEB 2012 Excellence in Science Award.
2013 Award
2014 Award
The 2014 Excellence in Science Award nomination cycle has closed. The award recipient will be announced on this website in July 2013.
2015 Award
The nomination process for the 2015 Excellence in Science Award will begin in January 2014 and will be announced on this website.
Selection Criteria and Eligibility
- Women whose career achievements reflect significant contributions to further our understanding of a particular discipline by excellence in research.
- Nominees are typically women who are senior in their field and nationally known for their outstanding contributions in research, leadership, and mentorship.
- Nominees and nominators must be members of at least one of FASEB's 26 member societies.
