International attendees who are heavily engaged in research or are in ancillary fields where an accurate understanding of allied scientific advances are welcome to register for a FASEB science research conference. A curriculum vitae is required for all attendees at the time of registration. Once an international attendee registers and pays for the conference, an email confirmation with a receipt of payment and a Letter of Invitation will be sent. International attendees can use these documents to process Visa applications. Letters of Invitation will not be sent until payment is received.
FASEB encourages international attendees to process all required Visa documents at least 3 months in advance of the conference you are attending.
FOR FOREIGN SCIENTISTS TRAVELING TO THE UNITED STATES & U.S. HOMELAND SECURITY PROCEDURES
As part of security procedures, many applications for VISAs are sent to the State Department for a security review. The website for the State Department is http://travel.state.gov/visa. We advise scientists traveling to the United States to apply for a VISA as early as possible (at least three months before VISA is needed).
Please contact the FASEB SRC Office immediately if you are unable to attend the conference because of VISA issues.
FASEB cannot refund registration fees after the registration cancellation date due to an individual's inability to obtain a VISA. Please file your paperwork as far in advance as possible in order to be eligible for a refund prior to the registration cutoff date.
