Registering for Your Conference
If you are already on your conference's microsite, simply go to the home screen and click the "REGISTER" button to register for your conference. Otherwise, please follow the below instructions to register for your science research conference:
- Search current conference schedule and locate the conference title of interest.
- Click on the conference title and you will be directed to the conference microsite. From this webpage you can view the conference summary, program agenda, transportation and lodging information and other details.
- Click on the “REGISTER” button to register for the conference.
- Select “attendee” or “speaker.” Invited speakers and session chairs will be asked to enter the registration code which is noted in the “speaker invitation packet” that was emailed to them. Invited speakers are required to register by Tuesday, May 3, 2016, in order to receive priority lodging.
- After transferring into the registration site, enter your personal information into the online registration system. All attendees are required to upload a curriculum vitae.
Please note the following:
Abstract submissions are required for invited speakers and are optional for attendees at the time of registration. If an attendee uploads an abstract, it is expected that they will present a poster at the conference poster session. Attendees can also select “consider me for a short talk”. This information will be shared with conference organizers. Conference organizers will notify selected “short talk speakers” within 4-6 weeks of the conference start date. Poster session schedules will be available onsite at the conference and provided in official program materials. The poster boards are 3’ 8” high by 5’ 6” wide in the US. In Portugal, poster boards are 3' 9" high (1,20 m) by 4' 9" wide (1,50 m). Pushpins will be provided at the conference.
Registrants receive two emails generated by the conference registration system. The first contains a unique conference ID number. Please reference this ID number when contacting the FASEB SRC registration staff for assistance. This first email is not a confirmation of attendance or housing. Once the registration payment is completed, a second email is sent with the confirmation of registration, payment receipt, and letter of invitation (if applicable). Lodging confirmations are emailed to attendees twenty one days in advance of the conference. Payment is required to receive a lodging confirmation.
Each conference has an early bird registration, cancellation, and last day to register deadline. Please be aware of the associated deadlines as they will be adhered to and no exceptions will be made.
If you are an international attendee, please check the box during the registration process marked Letter of Invitation to assist with your VISA application. Letters of invitation will not be emailed until payment is made. Once the attendee registers and pays for the conference, they will receive an email confirmation with a receipt of payment and a letter of Invitation. International attendees can use these documents to process Visa applications. Letters of Invitation will not be sent until payment is received.
FASEB encourages international attendees to process all required Visa documents at least (3) three months in advance of the conference they will be attending.
FOR FOREIGN SCIENTISTS TRAVELING TO THE UNITED STATES
Specific information on VISA requirements through the US Department of State can be found here. The main website for the US Department of State is www.state.gov. We strongly advise scientists traveling to the United States to apply for a VISA as early as possible (at least three months before VISA is needed). Please contact the FASEB SRC Office immediately if you are unable to attend the conference because of VISA issues.
FASEB cannot refund registration fees after the registration cancellation date due to an individual's inability to obtain a VISA. Please file your paperwork as far in advance as possible in order to be eligible for a refund prior to the registration cutoff date.
