The Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco is 37 miles from the Pisa International Airport (PSA) and 65 miles from the Florence Airport (FLR). Please note, transportation from the Florence Airport to Il Ciocco will not be provided.
Il Ciocco will be providing buses to the resort from the Pisa Airport (PSA) on Sunday. Buses will depart the airport promptly at 11:00 am, 3:00 pm, and 7:00 pm. A representative will be on-site at the airport to assist with the transfers. Look for the representative at the gate marked "arrivals" with a poster containing the FASEB logo and the title of the event. On Friday, buses will depart Il Ciocco back to the Pisa Airport at 4:30 am, 8:30 am, and 12:30 pm (12:00 pm for AMPK). The shuttle is complimentary for attendees staying at the resort and there is a small charge of 23 euros each way for guests of conference attendees to use the shuttle. For arrivals/departures when a shuttle will not be available, please contact the Navigator desk at the resort to fill out a taxi request form by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.

. Eurostar and Inter-city trains arrive almost hourly from the East (Florence), the South (Naples-Rome) and from Northern Europe via Turin and Milan.
If you wish to take the train from Pisa to Il Ciocco, the most convenient station is Barga/Gallicano (approximately 5 km from the hotel). The Pisa Train Station is a 5 minute cab ride (3km) from the airport. The line from Pisa is Pisa Centrale-Lucca-Barga/Gallicano (the train line being Pisa-Aulla). From the Barga/Gallicano station, a taxi to the Hotel is about 10 Euro.
You can also rent a car and drive through the beautiful countryside of Italy to the Resort. Car rental companies at the Pisa Airport
include Avis, Sixt, Europcar, Hertz and Thrifty. A Hertz rental office is also available in the town of Lucca, which is approximately 20 minutes from the resort. The number for the Hertz office in Lucca is 39-0583-505472.
From Pisa Airport
Take the south-west road from "Lungarno Antonio Pacinotti" to "Via del Buongusto" and go straight till the roundabout. Take the 1st exit and enter "Piazza di Terzanaia" then follow the road and take "Lungarno Cosimo Primo dei Medici". Take the 1st on the right and follow the SS1 road then turn right and enter the A11 highway and exit at "Lucca Est" to enter "Viale Europa". At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit to "Viale Giosuè Carducci". Follow the main road with the city walls on your right, then at the 2nd roundabout take the 2nd exit to "Via Matteo Civitali" then at the end of the road turn right to enter "Via del Brennero/SS12".At the end of the main road take the 1st exit to SP20 road and follow the main road. Turn right to enter "Località Ponte di Campia" SS445 road then turn left to enter "Via Giovanni Pascoli" and follow the road till you find the hotel entrance on your left.
From Florence Airport
Take Viale Giovanni Luder then continue on A11 Highway. Exit at "Capannori" then turn right and take "Via del Frizzone". At the roundabout take the 2nd exit and take "Via Pesciatina" road. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit then at the following roundabout take the 2nd exit too. Follow SP20 Road then turn right and take "Via per Cardoso" then continue on SP20. . Turn right to enter "Località Ponte di Campia" SS445 road then turn left to enter "Via Giovanni Pascoli" and follow the road till you find the hotel entrance on your left.
Follow signs to Abetone. Begin noting distances at the sign on the left side of the road indicating that you have left Lucca. At 4.8 km, bear left at the fork in the road, crossing a bridge over the river. Continue following signs to Abetone. When signs appear for Castelnuovo (Castelnuovo di Garfagnana), follow them. At 31.6 km, you will reach Galiciano. At 36.6 km you will reach Ponte di Campia. At 36.9 km, turn right and cross a bridge over the river. Immediately turn left, up the hill. At 38.4 km, turn left into Il Ciocco.
