FASEB Supports NSF’s Strategic Plan

September 07, 2016

As the National Science Foundation (NSF) prepares to draft its next four-year strategic plan, FASEB urged the agency to continue its support for fundamental, investigator-initiated research and its efforts to streamline and harmonize operations at the Foundation. Both of these topics are major themes of the current NSF Strategic Plan (2014-2018) and are consistent with FASEB’s vision for research as outlined in the Sustaining Discovery in Biological and Medical Sciences discussion framework.

NSF updates its strategic plan every four years. Although still early in the planning process for the next plan period (2019-2023), the Foundation seeks feedback on the Vision, Core Values, Strategic Goals, and Strategic Objectives of its current strategic plan by September 27.
