International Science Policy


The goal of the subcommittee is to provide benefit to international members of FASEB societies to: 1) promote interaction and dialogue within the global scientific community on policy issues relating to research and education in the life sciences and 2) to advance FASEB’s perspective on international science policy issues, if possible.

Specific aims:

  • Populate the subcommittee with FASEB Society members with expertise or an interest in international policy issues relevant to the scientific community, as well as international members of the FASEB member societies;
  • Obtain input from member societies related to international science policy issues or policy issues of specific concern to international society members;
  • Identify peer organizations in other nations or international in scope with shared interests and establish liaisons with these organizations;
  • Provide an international perspective on ongoing policy or regulatory issues, as needed;
  • Engage in unique international science policy issues, such as visa policies or international intellectual property issues.
