HOUSE AND SENATE LEADERS RELEASE 2011 CONGRESSIONAL SCHEDULE

According to schedules released by the incoming Speaker of the House and the Senate Majority Leader, the first session of the 112th Congress will convene in Washington on January 5th. Lawmakers in both chambers will also spend at least one week a month in their districts, although there are 13 weeks when the House and Senate will be on opposite schedules. The House target adjournment date is Friday, Dec. 8th while the Senate’s last day in session has not been determined yet. The remainder of the schedule is as follows:
