The Histochemical Society (HCS) became the 24th member of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology’s (FASEB) on July 1st. “We are pleased to welcome HCS to the Federation,” stated FASEB President, Joseph C. LaManna, PhD. “This is a critical time for biomedical research, and we look forward to their contributions to our advocacy agenda.”
“A partnership with FASEB and its member societies will amplify our voice in the important policy decisions affecting our field,” said Nancy M. Sawtell, PhD., President of HCS. Founded in 1950, HCS is an organization of scientists dedicated to the development and application of new technologies in molecular pathology and cell biology. An important goal of the HCS is providing opportunities to scientists from underrepresented groups and young investigators.
