FASEB E-Action Alert Encourages Research Community to Ask Congress to Sustain the Prior Investment in Research
Created by host on 10/24/2013

During the federal government shutdown earlier this month, the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) issued an e-Action alert asking the members of its constituent societies to call their senators and representatives and share the message that Congress must restore funding for science agencies to pre-sequestration levels and sustain the prior investment in research in the fiscal year 2014 budget. FASEB has since received feedback from hundreds of people who have made calls to Capitol Hill in response to the alert.

However, more calls are still needed. Everyone is encouraged to share the alert with colleagues, family, and friends to continue to send this important and urgent message to Congress. Those who don’t already receive FASEB e-Action alerts can sign up to receive future alerts here.
