FASEB RELEASES NEW FACTSHEETS SHOWING LOCAL IMPACT OF RESEARCH FUNDED BY THE NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH Created by on 10/15/2012
The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) has released a new series of factsheets
describing the value of National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding in congressional districts around the country. Available on FASEB’s website, each factsheet contains information about the level of funding for each district as well as examples of how locally funded research has improved health, increased innovation, strengthened the economy, and trained the next generation of scientists. Currently, 70 factsheets representing over 100 congressional districts are available, and more will be released in the following months. The new factsheets complement an earlier series
focusing on the benefit of NIH funding in each state.
