NEW CHAIRMEN AND FRESHMEN TO JOIN KEY COMMITTEES IN THE 113th CONGRESS

Key committees with jurisdiction over funding and policy issues for federal science agencies will gain new leaders and members when the 113th Congress begins in January. On December 12th, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) announced the anticipated Democratic committee assignments. The full Democratic caucus is expected to approve the final committee rosters early next year. Senate Republications have not yet announced their ranking members or committee assignments.
