Advocacy on Capitol Hill

FASEB is an organization that truly personifies the voice of working biomedical scientists and engineers. To make this voice heard in national policy discussions, we focus our legislative and advocacy program on communicating the views of the biomedical research community to Congress, the White House, federal agencies, and advocacy partners. Our full-time presence on Capitol Hill allows FASEB to monitor in real-time, the latest legislative developments, news, and events affecting scientists and research policy. We convey this information to our member societies in a timely-fashion, so that they can respond as intelligently and effectively as possible.

FASEB also empowers individual researchers to advocate for the benefit of science, by providing the tools, resources, and information found here. By staying informed about what FASEB and legislators are doing to address research funding, regulatory issues, and other concerns, scientists strengthen their advocacy action.
