Janice Reuben

Janice Reuben is the Senior Associate for Programs and Outreach at the University of Michigan Center for the Education of Women (CEW), Ann Arbor.  She manages the UM Women of Color Task Force, an employee volunteer group that provides professional development and mentoring opportunities for women of color staff and hosts the largest staff development conference at the University of Michigan. This project was awarded two University of Michigan service awards in 2009: the Distinguished Diversity Leaders Team Award and the VOICES of the Staff Team Award.  Ms. Reuben is also responsible for planning and administering more than sixty career development and leadership developments programs each year at the Center. She has also served on several university committees including the executive board of the Association of Black Professionals, Administrators, Faculty and Staff (ABPAFS); the University of Michigan HR/Career Services Design Team; and the planning committees for the Building Great Places to Work project, and the annual Work-Life Resource Conference. Prior to coming to the University of Michigan, she was a senior project manager for Motivational Educational Entertainment (MEE), a minority-owned social marketing and consulting firm that specializes in developing public health education campaigns. Ms. Reuben has a B.A. in history (with a minor in biology), and is pursuing a master’s degree in human resource management.
